Christina: What is your SwagHer? What makes Danni, Danni?

Danni: My “SwagHer” is rooted in resilience, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to growth and progress. My ability to thrive in the face of challenges and move forward when circumstances try to hold me back makes me stand out. My creativity is not just a tool for problem-solving but a way of life that colors my approach to projects, relationships, and self-expression. This, combined with a relentless pursuit of knowledge, allows me to continuously evolve, adapt, and innovate, ensuring that I bring fresh, impactful ideas to the table for my brand and for my clients. My “SwagHer” is my essence: a resilient creator and a lifelong learner, constantly pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible.

Christina: Why did you choose to start DW Creative Consulting Agency?

Danni: I started DW Creative Consulting Agency from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of strategic creativity and innovation in driving business growth. My journey through various industries highlighted a common thread: many businesses need help articulating their unique value propositions and engaging with their target audiences meaningfully. I recognized my passion for storytelling, branding, and digital marketing and a knack for identifying and solving complex business challenges; I saw an opportunity to bridge this gap.

DW Creative Consulting Agency was founded to empower businesses to unlock their potential, leveraging creativity, data-driven strategies, and bespoke solutions to meet and exceed their objectives. In addition, small businesses struggle with two primary things – funding and visibility – my jam is visibility. I can get you seen where you need to be seen, and when this happens, it often leads to more customers, revenue, and growth. It’s a platform where my team and I can apply our collective expertise, creativity, and industry insights to help businesses thrive in today’s competitive landscape, making their success our success.

Christina: Your agency specializes in elevating the presence and profitability of professional service firms and nonprofits. How do the strategies for these two different sectors differ, and what common principles do you find essential for success in both?

Danni: The strategies for elevating professional service firms and nonprofits differ in their approach but share a foundation in understanding and articulating value. Professional service firms often focus on highlighting expertise, building thought leadership, and developing trust to drive client acquisition and retention. This involves sophisticated content marketing, personal branding for key individuals, and leveraging client success stories.

In contrast, with nonprofits, the strategy centers around storytelling to evoke emotional engagement, highlighting impact, and mobilizing community support through clear calls to action. However, both sectors benefit from a strategic approach rooted in deep audience understanding, clear messaging, and data-driven decision-making to maximize reach and engagement.

Christina: Being the author of 17 books is impressive. How do your experiences in writing contribute to your role in digital marketing?

Danni: My experience as an author of 17 books has been instrumental in my role in digital marketing, particularly in storytelling, content creation, and audience engagement. I have been writing since I was a kid, partly because I was sick a lot as a young kid and thrived off library books and writing poetry. Writing has honed my ability to convey complex ideas simply and engagingly, a skill crucial in creating compelling marketing content. It’s also taught me the importance of understanding my audience, which directly translates to developing targeted marketing strategies that resonate with different segments. Additionally, writing has reinforced the discipline and creativity needed to produce high-quality, consistent content, a cornerstone of effective digital marketing.

Christina: What skills and qualities do you believe are crucial for thriving in the competitive marketing industry?

Danni: Thriving in the competitive marketing industry requires a blend of hard and soft skills. Creativity and analytical thinking allow for innovative strategies that stand out, while adaptability and resilience are essential for navigating the ever-changing digital landscape. Strong communication skills ensure effective storytelling and client relationships, and a growth mindset fosters continuous learning and improvement. Proficiency in data analysis, SEO, and social media platforms, coupled with strategic thinking, rounds out the toolkit for a successful marketer.

Christina: Hosting the #Hashtags and Habits Podcast, you delve into digital marketing, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. What inspired you to start the podcast?

Danni: The #Hashtags and Habits Podcast was inspired by my desire to merge discussions on digital marketing and entrepreneurship with personal growth. Recognizing that success in business and marketing often parallels our journey of personal development, I wanted to create a platform that provides valuable industry insights and encourages listeners to cultivate habits and mindsets that propel them forward. The podcast aims to inspire, educate, and motivate by exploring the intersections between effective marketing strategies, entrepreneurial resilience, and personal evolution. It is all necessary to becoming and being a thriving business owner.

Christina: Is there anything else you would like to share?

Danni: One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been witnessing the tangible growth and success of the businesses and individuals I’ve had the privilege to work with. It reaffirms my belief in the power of strategic creativity, tailored solutions, and a genuine passion for making a difference. As I continue on this journey, I remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital marketing and beyond to leave a positive, lasting impact.
