Art for Life Philadelphia was a brilliant, bold success! The work by PR company Kennedy Robinson was evident the Art For Life Philly event was in good hands, from the professional and sweet women at check in, well informed staff and accommodating vendors.

Being surrounded by varied seasoned artist’s who’ve created legacies and paved paths for new artistic creatives and tastemakers alike was a joyous experience.

Danny Simmons prides himself on spreading awareness and advocating the importance of the arts with his annual Art For Life soirée (now in Philly) held at the delightful Painted Bride Art Center and hub for music, dance, theater, visual arts and art education which was a perfect backdrop for such an occasion.

Raising funds for the continued work of (RAP) Rush Arts Philadelphia to underserved youth, seniors and creatives alike were only half of the evening’s agenda. With Danny Simmons nieces and nephew Vanessa, Angela and JoJo Simmons, as the Art For Life hosts, which included some creative influential millennials to the scene, creating a wonderful mix of esteemed seasoned and new season creatives, bringing the community together for positive change.

With delicious mouth watering bites to eat provided by Chef Will, Mia and Me Catering, sponsored cake by Denise’s Delicacies, and drinks provided by Bluecoat American dry Gin, it’s safe to say the evening satisfied all five senses.

The honored artistic pioneers Judith Brodsky, James Brantley, and Jane Golden humbly accepted awards for their accomplishments and groundwork in the art world. Another highlight for the evening was the live performances from spoken word recording artist Ursula Rucker, statuettes songstress Lezlie Harrison, and fun live drawings done by Artist Jocelyn Goode. The Rush Arts Philly Chair, Advisory Board Art advocate and modest philanthropist Taneshia Nash Laird is awesome at raising targeted financial capital to continue the work, opportunities, and artist platforms provided by the Rush Arts Philly Organization. We’re elated and looking forward to all artistic endeavors coming from Rush Arts Philadelphia by way of the city where Brotherly Love and Sisterly affection thrive.
