There was a buzz in Atlanta to celebrate power couple, DJ Mike and Egypt Sherrod!! The “who’s who” of Atlanta attended the Private Pre-Screen of Season 2 of Married to Real Estate and the launch of the couples’ new podcast Marriage and Money.
The event was held at the chic Buckhead venue ModeX Studio. The energy in the room was electric as everyone was excited to be back from the holiday break and back to connecting with everyone as it is Atlanta fosters a very close-knit media family.
The promoters of this event ensured every guest was well taken care of, with light hors d’oeuvres served to tempt the taste buds. However, the movie snacks the Black-owned company Popcorn Remix provided stole the show! They provided an array of exotic popcorn flavors such as Anthony Hamilton’s Charlene’s Banana Pudding; King Crab Legs; and my favorite, Lemon Pound Cake, to name a few!
We had an opportunity to watch an episode of Married to Real Estate as Egypt and Mike tag team to help a couple find their new home and renovate it with custom upgrades to make it special for them! The show chronicles their ability to manage a business and family life as a married couple working together. Though we are familiar with their personalities in the media and radio, it was different to see them working together in this capacity! The real estate market in Atlanta is a real “dog eat dog” market, but Egypt and Mike make the challenges they face look easy!
Be sure to tune in every Thursday to HGTV at 9 pm EST for new Married To Real Estate episodes.
