Christina: What is your SwagHer? What makes Stormie, Stormie?

Stormie: My grit, my grind, my hustle. When I set my mind to something, I will do it to the best of my abilities. Nothing is out of reach for me.

Christina: How did your background in nursing influence your choose to open  House of Contour Spa and Wellness?

Stormie:  As a nurse I see firsthand all the health disparities my community is faced with, and I knew there needed to be a change. Young adults were coming into the hospitals with blood pressures extremely high and I was just taken back. I didn’t want my community to carry on like this and I wanted them to be informed about taking their health seriously.

Christina: Can you elaborate on your role as a chapter leader for the Spa Boss Tribe? What is your favorite thing about being chapter leader?

Stormie: As a chapter leader, I am a resource for spa professionals in the Detroit and Metro Detroit areas. I provided them with spaces to grow in the business and mentor them on aspects they might need some guidance on. My favorite thing about being a chapter leader is seeing them win, whether big or small. Having them call me and tell me they made a certain amount of money today or were presented with an opportunity is a rewarding experience for me. It’s letting me know that I am really helping them.

Christina: What made you establish group homes for veterans in the Metro Detroit area? How do you believe your initiative has reflected your commitment to community service and providing safe places for others in need?

Stormie: I wanted to provide a safe place for people, and I saw veterans need to have somewhere to go. Detroit has so much to offer, and I wanted to take care of the people in my home city before I venture out and worry about others. This is just a small gesture that I can do to give back to my community. I’m in a position where I can help people, so why not help them?

Christina: What are the most popular services offered at House of Contour Spa and Wellness, and why are they so popular among your clients?

Stormie: My most popular services would be my medical weight loss program and a service called Lipo Dissolve. These two are really helping my clients lose the weight they have been wanting to lose and have been restoring their confidence. I think it’s popular because you actually see results with the services, and the programs are tailored to the client’s needs and goals.

Christina: What does a typical day in your life look like?

Stormie: A typical day for me is starting the day organizing by seeing how many clients we will have and how many phone consultations we have. I work at the spa from 9 am to 5 pm most days, get that one-on-one time with clients, and keep up with them and see how they are progressing. Then, after working at the spa, I do some administrator work, whether that be working on upcoming events, checking overhead for the spa, or getting on Zoom calls to learn from my mentor. Every day is different and productive in its own way, but it is always a rewarding experience.

Christina: Is there anything else you would like to share?

Stormie:Yes, if you need any services or mentorships, please do not hesitate to contact me.
