Minister Allison G. Daniels and several other women have shared stories from the heart as to how they had to redirect their emotions, redefine who God said they were, and their journey of being renewed, thus, allowing God to make a victorious difference in their lives, all to His glory.
How would you describe your swagher? What makes you who you are?
I would describe my swagher as bold and confident. I confidently believe in God and all HE says I am and that with Him I can do anything. I strongly believe God can work through all people to achieve His purposes.
Why did you decide to take part in the Unshakable Faith anthology?
The Unshakable Faith anthology gives me the opportunity to inspire others to have faith in all circumstances. Faith plays a vital role in our world and with all that is going on in the world, now is the time to highlight faith and provide encouragement to others that will give them HOPE. Faith along with work is a positive force that truly can move any mountain.
Can you describe a time when your faith was challenged but you stood tall?
The challenge I share in the book is my cancer battle in 2020. I was diagnosed in January 2020 with Stage II, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. My entire world was changed. I went through six months of chemotherapy. I lost my hair, energy, and some days faith. I have always had a relationship with God, but during this time, my walk with God became even closer. It wasn’t easy but I never doubted God’s love and promises. My faith and the word of God played a huge part in my healing. During this time, God not only healed my body, He healed my mind, soul, and a broken heart. I share in the book some of my revelations and I feel that every reader will be able to relate to my story in some way.
How do you view your work as a vocation—a call from and a duty to God?
My work as a wife, mother, daughter, professional speaker, author, financial specialist, and every other role that I do is a calling and duty to God. God is intentional and if he chose for me to be a mother, wife, speaker etc… then He has given me duties specifically from Him. I believe that everyone has a vocation from God by virtue of creation.
What was the writing process like for you?
The writing process was not bad. Because I was writing about my own experience, it was pretty easy to write about the journey. The real challenge is carving out time to complete the task at hand because life happens and there are so many things pulling at my time and demanding my presence. This is when time management and proper scheduling are key to successfully completing the goal. I had to buckle down and work on being disciplined. I am so glad I did!
Have you authored any other books? If so, please list them.
This is my second book. My first book was also an anthology entitled Chocolate & Diamonds for a Woman’s Soul. The book was full of stories of resilience and faith.
