Meet Lucille Reddic
Lucille Reddic is a woman of God, a speaker, financial coach, and certified information systems auditor. A resident of Dallas, Texas, Lucille is a wife of 36 years to her husband Donnie and a mother of 3 adult children. After her oldest daughter died of a brain hemorrhage in 2019, she was reminded that life is too short not to live her dream of helping married women. Since then, Lucille has dedicated her life to impacting the lives of others. She founded The Chosen Wives Tribe, a community committed to inspiring and empowering women to transform their minds and character in order to create healthy and happy marriages.
Whether she is posting encouraging quotes, speaking to a group of women, hosting a podcast, making a quick video to speak life into the lives of wives everywhere, it is from a posture of gratitude for the gift her marriage has been in her life. We were happy to interview such a pillar in the community whose purpose is to uplift and build!
Interview with Lucille Reddic, Founder of The Chosen Wives Tribe
Happy Black History Month! What does this time of the year mean for you and how do you want to celebrate it?
Lucille Reddic: Black History month is a great time of the year. I usually have a few speaking opportunities where I share some information about my maternal Great-Great father Oscar W. Holden Sr who is often called the patriarch of Seattle jazz. Additionally, I just love all of the historical information about the contributions African Americans made to this country that we never get to hear about until they are highlighted during Black History Month.
What impact do you want to make in others’ lives as the founder of Chosen Wives Tribe?
Lucille Reddic: In the early years of my marriage, the Lord placed some amazing women in my life. They helped me to understand that all marriages have their ups and downs. We develop strategies to help them better communicate their heart’s desires in a way that their husbands can understand. I want to save thousands of wives from the emotional pain and life disruption that divorce causes.
We would love to hear about your latest book and what do you want readers to take away from it?
Lucille Reddic: The name of my latest book is “That Secret Sauce: Essential Ingredients for Creating an Exceptional Marriage.” I share concepts and ideas about prayer, communication, commitment, physical touch, sex, forgiveness, and finances just to name a few. I share a few personal stories about how I dealt with some difficult issues. The book is specifically written for married women but has information that could also help husbands.
I would like readers to know that there is no such thing as a perfect marriage. Also, they are not alone. Social Media will have you thinking that you are the only one struggling with the highs and lows of marriage. The truth is that we are all dealing with something. Finally, I want the reader to know that God’s grace and mercy have kept my family together in spite of me. If he did it for me he can do it for you!
What keeps you motivated to continue walking in your divine purpose?
Lucille Reddic: My oldest daughter died of a brain hemorrhage in 2019. She was 43 and always the life of the party. Her death reminded me that life is short. I am always thinking of and serving others. Serving others gives me great happiness. God allowed me to experience a few things so that I can be a living testimony to the grace and mercy of God. I know that there are women who need to know that they can make it to the other side of disappointment. I’m here to encourage them.
We understand that you are also a financial coach, what resources do you provide for those seeking financial support?
Lucille Reddic: I provide resources to help singles and couples create a plan or budget to get out of debt, save for emergencies, buy a house, start a business, save for a vacation, or for retirement. I help couples realize that they are on the same team. What is the family legacy you desire to build for children’s children?
What can we be on the lookout for from you in the coming months?
Lucille Reddic: In 2022, I will be starting the Chosen Wives Tribe Podcast. This will be used as another way to encourage married women. I will continue promoting my book, “That Secret Sauce: Essential Ingredients for Creating an Exceptional Marriage.” I will be launching a course to help wives create happy and healthy marriages.
