Today, I wanted to share a little about what I’m working on or recently completed. As a publicist and a creative, sometimes it’s hard to explain to people what I offer. So I thought readers could better understand all I do by sharing these little blogs.
With all of our clients, I am seeking press opportunities, which means I am taking their pitch or drafting customized pitches tailored to fit the outlet that I am reaching out to and submitting them for interview opportunities. These outlets may be outlets our clients desire to be placed in or maybe outlets that we found that align with the client’s story and values. Sometimes, there may even be specific industry-related or local outlets.
We recently wrapped up planning a book launch party with one particular client. For this event, we created all the announcement assets (graphics), submitted the event to event listing sites, sought and coordinated with the sponsors, and reached out to the local press. Simultaneously, we pitched the client for placement that may not have been local, and we had more success in that area. We also coordinated a live interview series with the client to help with the engagement on her Instagram and worked with another outlet for a book giveaway. Currently, for this same client, we are planning a book tour and preparing for another book giveaway with one of SwagHer’s preferred vendors, Zhi Bath & Body.
Of course, we also need to keep the magazine popping, so we plan to host Profit & Secure HER Virtual Conference July 11-13, 2023. We created the announcement, online event spaces, and assets for this project and sold speaker and sponsorship packages. We’re currently coordinating interviews for the participants, and I am conducting interviews via email and on my podcast, CEO Chatter LIVE. My team is also assisting with the interviews while we are also rolling out announcements and e-blasts.
I’ve also been writing more for the website.
So as you all can see, the life of a publicist and creative can be very busy. As you can see, there’s a lot of communicating back and forth with other entities and a bunch of creating from scratch.
