Potty Snob is the App You Need If You Plan to Be Outside

Potty Snob is the app you need if you plan to be outside this summer.  The brainchild of IT Project Manager Ashley Graham, the app is set to transform how we perceive and rate public restrooms. With Potty Snob, users can rate and review restrooms based on cleanliness, accessibility, and amenities. This opportunity enables users’ opinions to be heard and shapes the future of restroom experiences. For the business owner, this feedback allows them to meet the high standards of their customers.

When asked what her inspiration for the app was, Graham says, “I’m particularly discerning about restroom cleanliness when I’m out in public. I enjoy shopping and dining out, but consistent issues with unclean restrooms in certain retail stores or food establishments would deter me from visiting altogether.” Potty Snob’s CEO continues to explain, “Similar to rating different places I eat, I often find myself thinking, ‘I wish I could rate this bathroom because the owner needs to know how unsanitary it is,’ or conversely, ‘I’d like them to know how impressed I am with how clean this restroom is.’”

Grahams also shares that being a mom and, at one point, a nursing mom heightened her preference for clean restrooms. “When going out, I appreciate knowing the restroom standards beforehand. This inspired me to consider creating a community-based app where users can rate restroom experiences on a 1-5 star scale and share the location of the establishment. This way, users like myself can plan ahead based on reliable reviews.”

Many of Potty Snob’s users are mothers, frequent restaurant-goers, and people who enjoy traveling and experiencing public establishments. The visionary describes the app-building experience as being an “enjoyable journey” but admits that she had to go back to the drawing board several times to fine-tune the questions and enhance the user experience. However, it appears to be worth it as the app is now available worldwide on Google Play and the App Store, and the response has been fantastic. Users have expressed their satisfaction with being able to leave feedback for the places they’ve visited.
