Christina: What is your SwagHer? What makes Tiara, Tiara?
Tiara: Honestly, my name is my SwagHer. It is a daily reminder of my worth, and I wear it with confidence. What makes me Tiara are the experiences and challenges that I’ve faced in my life, especially going through single motherhood. Also, my faith-based upbringing has shaped me into the woman that I am today.
Christina: Can you share with us what sparked your passion for style coaching, particularly in catering to single moms?
Tiara: My love for fashion and my role as a single mother sparked my passion to teach other single moms how to create a suitable balance of motherhood through practical style solutions, holistic self-care, and overall presentation for their professional and social success.
Christina: Your brand focuses on creating practical style solutions for single moms. Could you tell us more about the specific challenges you aim to address and the strategies you teach to help them navigate their busy lifestyles with confidence and flair?
Tiara: Single moms are a special and diverse group of women, which makes their style stories so unique. There is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to addressing their style challenges. Challenges vary from weight loss or gain to lacking the necessary time and energy to put into their appearance. Strategies and skills taught to help them navigate their busy lifestyles confidently and easily include learning to define their own style identity, mindset building, and learning S.M.A.R.T shopping skills, just to name a few.
Christina: How did you come up with the “mom-cation” concept, and what impact did it have in raising awareness about the need for self-care among single moms?
Tiara: As single moms, our job is never done. We put all of our time, energy, and thought into the things around us- going to work, taking care of our children, and juggling our responsibilities every single day. All of this can be overwhelming and can cause us to lack in other important areas of our lives, such as self-care. We need to learn how to let go of the mom guilt and get away for a moment to quiet the noise. Taking time off from our busy routines to relax, refocus, and restore full energy back into ourselves is a must. It is my hope that the “mom-cation” fashion campaign inspired creativity within wardrobes but, most importantly, shifted mindsets and encouraged single moms to take action.
Christina: Your personal philosophy, “Take baby steps, they too are giant leaps of faith,” is a great philosophy to live life by. How do you apply this philosophy in your work, and how does it guide your approach to coaching them in style and self-care?
Tiara: This philosophy allowed me to take a strategic approach in creating a unique style methodology for single moms that allows me to guide them through a 5-step process. With each core step, they must take small actions toward achieving their ultimate style transformation. After working with me, they will have learned new style skills and strategies necessary for implementing practical style solutions and much-needed self-care.
Christina: What are some of the key elements you’re focusing on as you prepare for the full launch of Tiara’s Custom Imagery this year?
Tiara: Key elements that I’m focusing on now are continued market research, developing a business plan, financial management, and team building.
Christina: Is there anything else you would like to share?
Tiara: I would like to encourage single moms to not let the opinions of the world hold any weight on how they choose to show up for themselves. Also, you are a precious gem, so, continue to shine out your light.
