SwagHer Magazine Celebrates 16 Years of Amplifying Black Women Through a Collaborative Evening With Nikki The Jeanius and VIBE Restaurant & Lounge
SwagHer Magazine will celebrate its 16th anniversary with Black Women of the Future, an evening honoring five visionary Black women whose leadership is shaping the future of media, nonprofit leadership, wellness, technology, and entrepreneurship. The anniversary dinner will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at VIBE Restaurant & Lounge in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Presented by SwagHer Magazine and The Creative Jeanius, in collaboration with Nikki The Jeanius and Only a Vibe, and VIBE Restaurant & Lounge, the event will bring together entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, and community leaders for an evening of celebration, meaningful connection, and recognition.
“We’ve always wanted to honor women this way—we just didn’t have the resources to do it justice,” said Francheska “Fancy” Felder, Founder and Publisher of SwagHer Magazine. “This season of collaboration changed that, and Black Women of the Future is what happens when the vision finally meets the means.”
The 2026 honorees are Marissa Mitchell, host of The Marissa Mitchell Show (Media); Sadija Smiley of S.A.I.L.S. (Nonprofit Leadership); Fatima Oliver, Founder and CEO of Rooted in Women’s Wellness Inc. (Wellness); Nicole Murphy, Founder and CEO of Barter Black® (Technology); and Omi Bell, Founder of Black Girl Ventures (Entrepreneurship & Community Capital).
Together, the honorees represent a powerful cross-section of founders, executives, and changemakers whose work is strengthening communities, driving innovation, and expanding opportunities for future generations.
The event’s Afrofuturistic theme is reflected through its collaboration with entrepreneur, creative visionary, and cultural storyteller Nicolette “Nikki The Jeanius” Orji. Through Nikki The Jeanius, her creative company The Creative Jeanius, the lifestyle and culture platform Only A Vibe, and VIBE Restaurant & Lounge, Orji has created a collection of brands centered on culture, creativity, hospitality, and elevated experiences.
Co-founded by Orji, VIBE Restaurant & Lounge blends West African heritage with contemporary design, providing a fitting backdrop for an evening celebrating Black excellence and the visionary women shaping the future.
The Black Women of the Future Anniversary Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at VIBE Restaurant & Lounge, located at 8081 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland. Tickets are $30 and available through Eventbrite.
