Like most business owners, I spent last week reflecting on what we accomplished in 2025. I didn’t chase trends—I focused on building community, strengthening infrastructure, deepening impact, and protecting my peace, all while continuing to show up for Black women who want to be seen, supported, and sustained.
Here’s what we accomplished.
A Media Brand That Continued to Grow With Intention
SwagHer Magazine remained a trusted platform for Black women in business, creativity, and culture—reaching nearly 225,000 women across our digital ecosystem.
We:
- Published digital issues and themed editorial content
- Refined our audience focus to Black women ages 25–55
- Transitioned fully to SwagHerOnline.com as our primary platform
- Expanded the brand beyond “media” into visibility, credibility, and community
This wasn’t just content.
It was positioning.
Revenue-Generating Visibility Offers That Made Sense
In 2025, we built offers that respected our expertise and our capacity, while also being mindful of our clients’ needs.
That included:
- Travel Books (custom mini-magazines) as premium visibility assets
- Subscription-based visibility opportunities
- PR and podcast packages designed for founders who needed traction—not fluff
- Strategy calls that positioned visibility as a long-term asset, not a moment
Every offer aligned with one goal: Helping Black women show up as authorities.
Community Became the Cornerstone
The Visibility Vault for Black Businesswomen became a safe, strategic space for growth.
We hosted:
- Weekly Visibility Vault Sessions
- Message testing and offer feedback
- Live conversations rooted in honesty, not hustle culture
This community proved what we already knew:
Visibility grows faster when you’re not building alone. I speak from experience when I say this. I even shared how a friend recently helped me land a new partnership.
Events With Purpose, Not Pressure
Instead of forcing large-scale production, we built thoughtfully.
In 2025, we:
- Laid the groundwork for SwagHer’s 15th Anniversary activation
- Developed Where Wild Women Wander, a virtual wellness experience centered on rest, liberation, and healing
- Built sponsor-ready frameworks without compromising values
We chose alignment over exhaustion.
Client Wins & Campaign Execution
Behind the scenes, SwagHer PR supported founders, brands, and organizations through:
- Press placements
- Editorial features
- Interviews and live conversations
- Award wins and public recognition
Our role stayed clear:
We don’t just get attention—we build credibility.
Intellectual Property & Thought Leadership
2025 was also about planting seeds.
I continued developing:
- A young adult novel centered on mental health
- A mindfulness book for the Black diaspora
- Finding Fancy as a lifestyle and thought-leadership platform
These weren’t rushed projects.
They were legacy work.
Leadership, Systems & Sustainability
This year required maturity.
I:
- Built clearer systems and workflows
- Defined team roles and responsibilities
- Shifted further into CEO leadership
- Balanced entrepreneurship while teaching full-time
Most importantly, I learned this:
Rest is not a reward. It’s a requirement.
The Real Impact
2025 wasn’t loud.
It was solid.
We built an ecosystem designed to last—one rooted in visibility, wholeness, and intention.
And that’s the foundation everything else will grow from.
