Now ya’ll know I am an advocate for giving back to the community! I am happy to present opportunities that will allow me to give back to the community that gave much to me!
One of the leading examples is Media Maven Karen Civil. Not only does she take the opportunity to give back on countless occasions, she has pulled together several resources such as: Adidas, Elizabeth Public Schools, and Beats By Dre, just to name a few, to join her in her efforts.
Kicking off summer with some of the most prominent in the community, the purpose in Civil Day is to empower inner-city youth of her hometown on the importance of post-secondary education, health & wellness, and pursuing their passions throughout the duration of the summer and beyond.
Civil Day is a day of giving and promoting positivity benefitting inner- city youth. The fun filled day will include a private basketball camp featuring professional athletes, basketball tournament, activations, give-a-ways, celebrity surprises and more.
Derrick Jones, Omar Wilson and La’Keisha Sutton are just a few of the celebrities coming out to celebrate the community.
SSSHHHHH!!! I even hear they may have a few surprise guests!
Making this event free and open to the public allows the community to come out and celebrate with the best of the league! If you are in the Elizabeth, Jersey area tomorrow, July 12th, make sure you head out to Elizabeth High School’s Dunn Sports Center (600 Pearl Street) at 3pm!
This is a day not just for the community. This is a day to celebrate YOU!
So grab your kids, grab your sisters and show them how Civilized you be!
Make sure you #LiveCivilDay and #TheBunnieHole for a chance to be featured on The Bunnie Hole Website!
