September 10th was the official NFL Kick-off event and what better way than to have Alicia Keys performing? She performed her new song ‘Love Looks Better’ with an intro on the grand piano. She sung the song with a five-piece band that was dressed in army attire and the singers had on their football jerseys. Keys performed in front of a big screen where it flashed images of unity and landmark moments. There was also a peace sign with a black and white hand to the moon landing. What a great way to make a positive statement in the world that we are living in now! The performance closed with Keys reiterating the track’s message “Let’s take this moment to remember how powerful it is to see each other, to really see each other,†she said. “My love looks better on you.â€Â
Keys is also teamed up with the NFL to launch $1 billon endowment fund to support black businesses and communities! What an awesome positive impact in the Black community! Keys is always using her platform to help others that are in need. She also quoted in Billboard that “As an artist, I’m always thinking of how I can use my platform to further racial equity”
And she is doing just that!
