Fancy: Your journey from Style with Trysh as an online radio show to Trish Standley TV is impressive! What inspired you to transform and expand your platform into a television show, and how has the mission evolved along the way?
Ms. Trish: We recognized a shift in the topics we wanted to present to our audience. While “fashion” will always remain part of our foundation, we felt the need to expand our focus. Our goal now is to create space for learning and growth and acknowledge the importance of empowering women in every area of their lives.
Fancy: Trish Standley TV is focused on women’s empowerment, fashion, and community engagement. How do you envision these elements coming together to create impactful content, and what do you hope viewers will take away from the show?
Ms. Trish: Our mission is to bring real, everyday stories to the forefront. We’re excited to feature guests who are “thriving with HIV,” a mother who nearly died during childbirth due to hospital negligence, and individuals navigating challenges like “surviving divorce” and “growing in grace” through menopause. Our platform creates a safe space for meaningful conversations, empowering women to find strength and freedom regardless of circumstances.
Fancy: As an acclaimed gospel singer, your background is rooted in inspiring others. How does your music career influence the stories you choose to feature on the show, particularly those with inspirational and uplifting themes?
Ms. Trish: The show’s tagline, “Love isn’t Love unless you give it away,” comes from one of my singles, “Love.” This guiding principle influences everything I do. In my days as a recording artist, I would ask God to help me see people through His eyes, which taught me to approach others with grace rather than judgment. This perspective allows me to focus not only on themes but also on the people behind each story. At the end of each interview, I invite my guests to speak directly to our viewers, encouraging them in a way that feels authentic and comfortable. No one should ever feel alone in their struggles.
Fancy: What can viewers expect in this new era of Trish Standley TV? Are there any upcoming guests or specific segments you’re especially excited to share with your audience?
Ms. Trish: I’m incredibly excited about this new phase! In celebration of our 10-year anniversary, we recorded our first episode with a live audience. Recognizing the growing importance of caregiving, we hosted a panel of experts (another first for us) covering key areas like mental health, self-care, in-home and facility care, a pre-need specialist from a funeral home, and an estate attorney. They provided valuable insights on essential topics, including wills, trusts, and the responsibilities of an estate executor—addressing questions that many in our community have.
I’m thrilled to share that a past guest, whose mother tragically died after unknowingly contracting AIDS from her husband (who is now jailed for nondisclosure), has made a powerful impact. After the interview aired, it inspired two additional women—bringing the total to five—to come forward and press charges. While the journey has been challenging, witnessing the pain that her daughters endured has opened up essential conversations and is bringing justice to other women who have silently suffered for years.
I’m thrilled to announce the release of my 2025-2026 fall clothing line, Trysh’s Treasure! I’m beyond ecstatic about this launch. This “dream” started in 2018, and it’s incredible to see it finally come to life.
Fancy: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Ms. Trish, Ms. Trish?
Ms. Trish: My SwagHer is that I’m a relentless dream chaser. I want to leave this world empty, having poured everything into my passions and pursuits. When something sparks my curiosity, I dive into research, seek out mentors, study the industry, and move forward with intention. I don’t fear failure—it’s simply a chance to learn and grow. And that’s something I truly love about myself!
