Christina: What is your SwagHer? What makes Micaela, Micaela?

Micaela: What makes Micaela, Micaela is definitely my ability not to really care what anyone thinks of me. You reach a dangerous level of freedom when the thoughts, opinions, or actions of others no longer affect you in ways that are detrimental to your well-being and growth. My SwagHer is my innate passion for loving and being free from all of society’s and the world’s stipulations and holdings. My SwagHer is my Superpower😊.

Christina: Tell our readers about your book, STRIPPED TO MY TRUTH: UNPACKING THE EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE.

Micaela: STRIPPED TO MY TRUTH: UNPACKING THE EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE is both a tell-all and a guide through the eyes of another in getting out of your own way. It is a raw, unfiltered look into my life from past to current in showing others that it won’t all be peaches and cream, but that there are ways in handling life’s traumas without losing yourself in the process. Even if you lose yourself, I show you how to rediscover your true being and alter your thought process to manifest what you want in life.

Christina: What inspired you to write your book?

Micaela: Honestly, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I kept looking around me wondering why certain people, certain scenarios and situations and why things kept happening to me. It was because I was allowing them to. I wanted different, and I was beyond determined to have it. By any means necessary, I was willing to change my mindset to change my life.

Christina: How important is manifestation to you?

Micaela: Manifestation is absolutely a priority! Manifestation brings not only a willingness to help design your life to your specifications, but it also brings about peace and transformation. It’s important because it keeps you accountable and intentional about the goals and realities placed before you. It also teaches you to be grateful for current circumstances, no matter how bleak they may seem to you. Ultimately, we receive what we put out through thoughts, actions, and energies. So the importance of manifestation is actually key to any and everything that is you and attached to you.

Christina: Have you always wanted to be a writer?

Micaela: Yes! Among other things, writing has always been at the top of my list. It’s an outlet for me and my own way of uniquely communicating with others in heartfelt and direct ways.

Christina: You are a huge family, 11 kids! How do you manage being a working woman, wife, and mother?

Micaela: Whew! A wing and a few prayers LOL but no, seriously, they make it easy. They’re good babies, well, not babies, but you know what I mean. They’re good kids. The biggest thing is consistency, daily goals, To-Do lists, and time management. Those are HUGE with our day-to-day and how I’m effectively able to wife, parent, work, and then develop my own brand and businesses as an author, life coach, and content creator. They’re very supportive of everything that I do and always willing to help at the drop of a hat. We’re a team and teamwork, makes the dream work.

Christina: What is the most important thing that you want for your children to carry into adulthood?

Micaela: The most important thing I would love for them to carry into adulthood is their ability to be themselves. And all that it means. No one is perfect, and we all have the quirks and things that we want to improve on or completely change about ourselves. I just want them to know and understand that in a world that chases after trends, fads, and what’s popular, it’s okay to be different. It’s okay to be comfortable with who they are in positivity and light. They’ll make mistakes along the way, as they naturally should, but as long as they can learn the lesson and correct those mistakes moving forward, I’m a happy Momma.

Christina: Can you give our audience a few tips to start unpacking their emotional baggage?

Micaela: Sure! Being self-aware regarding your current situation(s) is definitely one of the most important things to start unpacking your emotional baggage and understanding what put you in certain places, and not pointing the finger but being accountable for your choices on your own behalf. This is the starting point. Our healing isn’t anyone else’s responsibility. It’s ours. However, the longer we make excuses, the more we blame others, and the more we refuse to acknowledge the root of the issue, we’ll continue to add more baggage versus removing and unpacking.

Christina: Do you have any upcoming events or projects that you would like to share?

Micaela: Yes! So, I am working on a documentary that is set to be released in March of 2021. I am also releasing my second book that I co-wrote with my Husband in December 2020. I’ve got some new merch coming and a few new ideas and tricks up my sleeves.

Christina: Is there anything else you would like to say?

Micaela: Above all else, I’d just like to thank everyone that has supported me thus far. The love has definitely been AMAZING!! We are in unprecedented and unpredictable times, and I just pray for everyone to stay encouraged. I love y’all ON PURPOSE!
