Precious Swain is a survivor and the author of multiple books that aim to uplift the culture and share the narrative of overcoming. As a minister and founder of New Visions Ministries of Florida, Inc, she pulls and gives forward from her own experiences and lessons.
Precious has overcome and survived trauma throughout her life but has allowed it to be turned around for good. A survivor of verbal and physical abuse ranging from childhood through marriage. From being molested, kidnapped, and raped, born to a heroin-addicted mother. Despite the wrong turns, she’s taken, she has triumphed through her faith and is pouring light into others. New Visions is an outreach ministry that focuses on educating and empowering abused women and children.
To date, Precious has written several books and serves as the Founder of Swain Girl Media. Her book titles include: “A Victim No More,” “I Had To Let Go,” and “He Was There All The Time.” We discovered more Precious’s journey with a few brief questions below:
April: How would you describe your style? What makes Precious, Precious?
Precious: Simply being me is the style I embrace. My raw, transparency is what makes me, me.
April: What inspired you to get started, and how did you get to where you are today?
Precious: I have written creatively since childhood as a way of release. As I got older, speaking out came naturally. Today, I write to set others free. I believe I am alive despite all I have been through to share my experiences to bring someone else through.
April: How did you realize and start a relationship with GOD for yourself?
Precious: My grandmother taught me young the importance of a personal relationship with Yahuah. Like most teens, I went through a time of rebellion but still studied. At approximately 17 years old, I recommitted myself to a relationship with the Father. In 2006 I went into ministry, and I haven’t looked back.
April: How have you overcome perceived obstacles in your life?
Precious: My life would be a countryside of hills and valleys if it were a portrait. Yahuah has provided me with the endurance and strength to be here still. Having been born to a heroin-addicted mother, being molested as a child, kidnapped and raped as a teen, having survived domestic violence, and Suicide attempts were all obstacles; all overcome.
April: Tell us about your business/brand. What do you specialize in, what are you known for and what sets you apart from others in your industry?
Precious: In addition to being the Pastor of New Visions Ministries of Florida, Inc, I am also the owner of Anointed for Prosperity Bookkeeping and More, Imprecious Entertainment Services, Founder of Swain Girl Media and a general partner in both Handy Helpers and Peak Level Productions, LLC. What makes me stand out is longevity and consistency. Anointed for Prosperity has been virtual for the past two years to include remote notary services. Imprecious Ent. is over 30 years old and is known for being one of few females owned companies for that timeframe and always setting trends.Â
