Fancy: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Deborah, Deborah?

Deborah: My swagher is definitely the fierceness that is down on the inside of me. It has given me the ability to stand, endure, remain and walk into my divine destiny. I’ve been strengthened to be a help to someone else as they fight fiercely to remain free.

The fight, courage, and ability to endure have made me Deborah. During the process of time, God has blessed me to understand that my life is destined. Furthermore, I’m gifted to help people to be healed and overcome.

Fancy: Did you always have the gift of prophecy?

Deborah: Yes. I knew I was called of God even as a child. I knew I was a prophet and had the gift of prophecy even back at the age of 4-5. However, I would never walk completely in the call. I understood that this office demanded a lot of responsibility. Finally, after many years of hiding, I came forth publicly about two years ago.

Fancy: So you were the executive director of a nonprofit, which led you to become a childcare coach, and then you became a pastor, am I following your career correctly?

Deborah: Yes. I’ve been the Executive Director of LAM Ministries Inc. since 2002. I’ve also been Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Apostolic Of God Church for 20 years.

Fancy: Which brings us to your current ventures. You’ve authored the book, “Fierce” and birthed Fierce TV Show, Fierce Radio Network, so now you’ve stepped into media and publishing, was this a big adjustment for you?

Deborah: This was a big adjustment for me. I have been before people for ministry but these new platforms really pulled on me. They stretched me and my faith to become more flexible and diverse. I had to grow and step out of my comfort zone to do all these amazing opportunities.

Fancy: Please share a little about your book “Fierce” and how it led to other outlets for you.

Deborah: “Fierce” was written during the greatest battle of my life. I wrote it to encourage and strengthen people. My goals were for people to see that life happens and yet we must continue to move forward. This book allowed me to recognize that God is working everything in our favor.

Fancy: What initially inspired you to write this book?

Deborah: I wrote “Fierce” because I felt that my entire life had been nothing but a fight. My husband was newly diagnosed with stage IV cancer. As a leader I wanted people to understand that we go through life just as everyone else does.

Fancy: You also launched Visionary Consulting Group LLC this year. What type of consulting services are you offering?

Deborah: VCCG offers coaching for Childcare, Authors, Ministry, Life & Relationship Coaching.

Fancy: How do you balance work and home life?

Deborah: It took me a while to learn how to balance both of these areas. Being an entrepreneur takes time, money, and dedication to build, as well as our families,  require that too. Prioritizing and communication is key when balancing both areas. I gave it my best and where I fall short I depend on God’s grace to get me through.

Fancy: How do you practice self-care?

Deborah: I have had to learn and take time for myself. I pour so much into other people, and I must allow someone to pour back into me. Prayer and spending time with God is key for me. God balances me and shows me priorities and wisdom. I love to read.

Fancy: Do you have any other projects or events that you care to share?

Deborah: I’m excited to be a part of For His Glory Empowerment Tour 2020 hat is coming to seven cities.
