BADDIES R US GRAND OPENING PAINTS SACRAMENTO PINK

Councilwoman Mai Vang, City Resolution, and 800 Guests Mark a Historic Celebration for Promise B Mae’s Latest Venture

South Sacramento was drenched in pink power this weekend as Promise B Mae — founder of The Nyx Network and serial entrepreneur — officially unveiled her latest boss move: Baddies R Us, an all-pink luxury beauty bar redefining what it means to blend beauty, business, and community.

The grand opening, held Saturday, October 25, wasn’t just another ribbon-cutting — it was a whole movement. With over 800 RSVPs, the block transformed into a pink paradise where empowerment met elegance. Guests arrived ready to celebrate Promise’s vision of bringing “luxury to the neighborhood,” and Sacramento showed up in full support.

One of the afternoon’s most powerful moments came when Sacramento City Councilwoman Mai Vang joined Promise for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. In a defining highlight, the Councilwoman presented Promise with a City of Sacramento Resolution, honoring her commitment to entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, and uplifting her community. The crowd erupted as the flash of cameras captured what many called a “Barbie-core moment in Black excellence.”

Media outlets including The Sacramento Observer, CBS 13 Charlotte, and FOX 40 News covered the event, each spotlighting Promise’s cultural impact and her mission to elevate Black womanhood through entrepreneurship.

Guests were treated to a full sensory experience — from live music and glam beauty services to curated food bites and luxe VIP gift bags. The bags featured items from powerhouse women-led brands such as Baddies R Us, Black Girl Vitamins, Serenity Lux Nails, and Ebony Wine & Spirits. The pink carpet was more than just an entrance — it was a statement — turning every attendee into the star of her own moment.

“This day was about more than beauty,” Promise B Mae said. “It was about legacy, showing that women can build something beautiful, successful, and community-driven right where we are.”

Following the grand opening, Baddies R Us will continue to pour into the community with bi-monthly food drives and monthly community makeovers, proving that giving back never goes out of style. The beauty bar will also double as a filming location for The Nyx Network, where entrepreneurship, entertainment, and empowerment collide under one bold, pink roof.

South Sacramento didn’t just witness a grand opening — it witnessed a movement. And at the center of it all is Promise B Mae, painting the city pink, one baddie at a time.
