The Baton Rouge Symphony (BRSO) announces the 2020-21 Season, the Symphony’s 72nd Season. The BRSO Board, staff, and musicians have worked together to develop a season that will keep the Symphony musicians and patrons safe while creating impactful performances and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
The Symphony is dedicated to creating unique musical experiences while prioritizing the safety of its musicians and patrons. The Lamar Family Chamber Series kicks off the season with four socially distanced concerts featuring small ensembles. Beginning in January, Orchestral concerts featuring increasing ensemble sizes will be presented. The season culminates with a performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony followed by our previously postponed Gala honoring Maestro Timothy Muffitt.
With safety as the Symphony’s top priority, they announced St. James Place as the 2020/21 Streaming Sponsor for all subscription concerts. This will give patrons the flexibility to attend concerts in person or enjoy concerts from the comfort of their home.
Tickets for the 2020-21 Season can be purchased online at www.brso.org, where seating maps and a wealth of concert information is available. Patrons can also subscribe to the Symphony by calling the Symphony Box Office – 225-383-0500 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
