If you never belted out, “Not Gon’ Cry†or stomped the foolery out “In Da Clubâ€, then this probably isn’t for you.
However, if you have ever heard the sound of the rain or got rid of Mr. Wrong, then this is DEFINITELY for you!
Grammy Award-winning Mary J. Blige will be given the Prestigious Lifetime Award at this year’s star-studded BET Awards.
After a well established and prominent career, Mary J. Blige deserves this AND more! Over 20 years of bearing her heart and soul out for the world to see, judge and inspire, Mary has paved the way for so many musicians.
With NINE Grammy Awards, TWO Golden Globe Nominations, a SAG Nomination amongst many other awards and accolades, she has earned every letter of the title global superstar.
At the 2018 Academy Awards, Blige made history as the first double nominee across the acting and music categories for Best Song and Best Supporting Actress for her work on ‘Mudbound’.
Redefining contemporary R&B music, we watched as Mary J. Blige went through setbacks, heartbreaks, and amazing resilience. From sis to Aunt Mary, I am HERE for this! In my opinion, she needs a boulevard for all of the life lessons we learned from her music and overall transparency.
Make sure you tune in! The 2019 “BET Awards” will air LIVE on Sunday, June 23 at 8 pm ET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA on BET.
