There’s a version of my story that fits neatly on a business card.
District Director. Founder. Author. Speaker. Podcast host.
Those titles are all true, but they don’t tell you who I became on the journey to earn them.
If you had asked me years ago whether I’d one day, be speaking publicly about faith, purpose, healing, and identity, I probably would have laughed. Not because I didn’t believe in God, but because I never imagined my greatest platform would come from the very seasons I once prayed would end.
I didn’t set out to become a voice for others.
I simply set out to survive my own becoming.
The Space Between the Prayer and the Promise
My podcast, Between the Prayer and the Promise, was born from a season I know all too well, the uncomfortable, often lonely space where you’ve already prayed, you’ve trusted God, and yet the promise still hasn’t arrived.
We celebrate breakthroughs.
We post the victories.
We talk about answered prayers.
But we rarely talk about the waiting.
And yet, that’s where so much of God’s work takes place.
There was a season in my own life when I had more questions than answers. Doors closed. Plans changed. I wondered if I had missed God or misunderstood His timing. Looking back now, I realize He wasn’t withholding the promise, He was preparing me for it. That season changed how I lead, how I serve, and how I trust Him.
That’s the conversation I wanted to create.
Each episode features honest conversations with people who have walked through difficult seasons. foster care survivors, entrepreneurs, authors, ministry leaders, wellness advocates, and everyday people whose faith was strengthened in the waiting. Together we talk about healing, purpose, identity, leadership, resilience, and learning to trust God when the path ahead isn’t clear.
Because faith isn’t built after the promise arrives.
It’s built while we’re waiting.
Why I Do What I Do
By day, I serve in workforce development, helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and discover new opportunities.
Over the years, I’ve sat across from people navigating job loss, uncertainty, and life transitions. I’ve watched hope return when someone simply believed in them before they believed in themselves.
That work teaches me something I’ll never forget:
People don’t always need someone to rescue them. Often, they simply need someone to remind them of the value, purpose, and potential God has already placed within them.
That truth extends far beyond my profession.
It’s the heartbeat behind every organization I’ve founded, every stage I’ve stepped onto, every workshop I’ve facilitated, every conversation I’ve hosted, and every person I’ve been blessed to serve.
I didn’t set out to build a brand.
I simply kept saying yes to the opportunities God placed before me.
Looking back, I can now see He was building something far greater than I ever imagined.
The Story Beneath the Story
If you’ve read Speak Your Peace or When the Soul Cries, you know I don’t write from a place of having everything figured out.
I write from places that required faith.
From seasons that stretched me.
From moments that reminded me that God’s grace is often most visible when we feel least qualified.
I’ve learned that healing isn’t always linear.
Purpose isn’t always loud.
And faith isn’t the absence of questions.
Faith is choosing to trust God anyway.
Every book I’ve written, every podcast episode I’ve recorded, and every audience I’ve had the privilege of speaking to comes back to one simple truth:
You are not defined by what broke you.
God is still using every part of your story as He shapes you into who He created you to be.
What’s Next
Today, I’m honored to continue serving my community in multiple ways.
In addition to my work in workforce development, I serve on the Board of Directors for Raising Our Village and as a co-founder of Together We Create 4 Kids, helping connect children and families with literacy, technology, educational resources, and opportunities that inspire brighter futures.
Although the platforms may look different, the mission remains the same:
Helping people discover hope, purpose, and the courage to become everything God created them to be.
My Prayer for You
My prayer is that every person who encounters my work leaves encouraged, reminded that they are deeply loved by God, and inspired to keep moving forward with hope.
If you’re in a season where you’re waiting for healing, restoration, direction, or answers, I want you to remember this:
God has not forgotten your prayers.
The waiting season is not wasted.
Sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t receiving the promise.
Sometimes it’s becoming the person God is preparing you to be while you wait.
I hope you’ll join me on the journey.
Because there is purpose in the waiting.
And there is always hope between the prayer and the promise.

I’m not interested in being admired from a distance. I’m interested in walking alongside people who are learning to trust God in the middle of their story.
That’s the mission. Everything else is simply the vehicle.
