Black Wellness Takes Center Stage at the B.E. Well Experience Summit

Building Exponential Wellness (“B.E. Well”) proudly announces its 3rd annual wellness summit for women and men of color, “The B.E. Well Experience,” set to take place later this month in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. This year’s theme, “BE Well, BE Legacy,” highlights the enduring commitment to Black wellness, positioning it not as a passing trend but as a foundational element for generational empowerment. The event will shine a spotlight on Black excellence, showcase the expertise of Black health and wellness leaders, and emphasize the vital importance of Black wellness. Scheduled for May 18th, the summit will come to life at BRIC Arts Media, located at 647 Fulton Street in the vibrant heart of Downtown Brooklyn. This event is sponsored by 333 Lounge, DSGN Gallery, The Business Svite, Suja Organic, Boxed Water, Verified Water, Intelligent Change, and Avalah. B.E. Well has also partnered with community organizations such as Yes Girls Create and Yadestiny Treasure Chest to ensure community accessibility.

The summit boasts an impressive lineup of over 30 BIPOC wellness experts and more than 20 engaging wellness activations, all designed to celebrate and prioritize Black wellness across eight key categories: physical, mental, financial, professional, community, relational, nutritional, and spiritual. Attendees can immerse themselves in a diverse array of activities, including yoga sessions, sound baths, journaling workshops, acupuncture sessions, financial literacy seminars, live wellness podcast discussions, community art, and dialogues with mental health professionals. Additionally, the event will offer a platform for local Black-owned wellness vendors, fostering community connections and economic empowerment. Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and healthy snacks will be provided for all attendees.

“The B.E. Well Experience is more than an event; it’s a movement towards re-envisioning Black wellness,” says Danielle Nicole and Nadine G., co-founders of B.E. Well. “Our aim is to cultivate a space that addresses the distinct needs of our community and foster significant health advancements.” Notable leaders such as Dr. Roger Ball, Alicia Holmes, Maya Winston, Lisa Robinson, Kings Church of Christ, Melissa Philippe, and Darnell Taylor are among the featured presenters, offering insights and fostering meaningful engagement among an anticipated audience of over 150 participants.

In 2020, B.E. Well launched with the mission to enrich the lifestyles of the BIPOC community by creating intentional spaces for the community to have direct access to health and wellness resources. The B.E.Well Experience summit has amplified the platforms of over 100 Black health and wellness experts and small businesses.
