Hey there! Apologies that I couldn’t give this call to action a more catchy, trendy title, but right now, especially in this time of injustice, outrage, and senseless killing, it’s time to prioritize intentional kindness, personally with ourselves and each other. As people are standing in unity and solidarity with our fight for justice as black men and women, we should be kinder to each other than ever before.
Particularly if you’re a woman that operates in a more masculine energy that tends to be argumentative, confrontational, insensitive, etc. now is a good time to cultivate a more feminine mode that honors gentleness and kindness. It’s good for yourself and others around you.
Let’s be less confrontational, more comforting as our brothers are out here on the front lines. There is no denying that sometimes the relationship between black men and women has been tumultuous. As now is a time of revolution, I pray that revolution also includes healing within ourselves. Healing from the systematic preying on our people that has caused us to feel divided at times as Black men and women.
Remember #BlackLoveMatters always, first and foremost. If we can be their peace, they will be more inclined to be our protection. Let’s work together more. Let’s love each other more, as there is a heightened urgency to support black-owned businesses during this time. Let’s keep that same energy as we pivot toward more black love and relationships.
