Black Women-Owned Media Companies Unite to Show Solidarity in Media

Two Black women-owned media companies unite to show solidarity in media. SwagHer Magazine & Media and CTR Media Network announce their collaboration to syndicate one another’s online shows.

Amidst the vast landscape of daily live-streamed shows, the growing realm of online programming presents a unique opportunity. Recognizing this, SwagHer Magazine & Media and CTR Media Network have come together, understanding that their collaboration will expand their reach and open up new avenues for growth and visibility.

The collaboration was inspired by Dr. Tina Ramsey (h.c), the founder of CTR Media Network. The network empowers businesses to grow online by maximizing their visibility across media platforms, television, radio, and podcasts. Boasting over 30 shows, they reach 350 million households worldwide in 100 countries with their YouTube channel being one of their most prominent mediums as it has over 25,000 followers and millions of views.

When asked what her thought process was behind the idea, Dr. Tina said, “My vision for this collaboration is to set a new standard in media broadcasting, with women leading the way. By uniting, our media houses add significant value and demonstrate that women can work, build, and thrive together. This powerful collaboration showcases our collective platforms, offering our audience a diverse array of quality TV and podcast shows. Together, we elevate our excellence and prove that we are more influential together than apart.”

Meanwhile, SwagHer Magazine is a public relations boutique and an award-winning empowerment and lifestyle publication for intentional Black women who like to keep it real.  The outlet was founded by Francheska “Fancy” Felder, who is the Editor-in-Chief and lead publicist. They strategically execute campaigns so that Black women can receive more visibility and establish themselves as an authority. Currently, the company has a community of almost 300,000 followers, with almost 240,000 of those individuals being part of their Facebook page, where they receive millions of views.

“Dr. Tina approached us with this idea at the perfect time, because we were looking for outlets to syndicate one of our shows, “What’s Going On?” or “WGO?”, so it just made sense,” says Fancy. “I have been following the network for some time and like their work, but it also feels good to collaborate with another Black businesswoman who knows what it’s like to build from the ground up while continuing to empower ,” she continued.

The collaboration kicks off the week of May 20, 2024.  For YouTube watchers, tune in on CTR Media Network’s YouTube, at https://www.youtube.com/@ctrmedianetwork/featured and Facebook fans can watch at https://www.facebook.com/SwagHerMagazine.
