Black Herstory Awards Dinner Recap

Melanin on Wall Street organization and its founder Angeliqua Mcnair decided to close out Black History Month with their Black Herstory Awards Dinner.  Black Herstory Awards took place February 23, 2019, at The Brooklyn Hotel, and was a beautiful evening honoring amazing women of color who are breaking glass ceilings through their ideas, inventions, strength, and fight for equality. 

The elegant evening included performances by: Delsy a spoken word poet who performed a piece entitled “Self Love”, and Ruth, who performed her new single entitled “Fall”. Five star dining was provided by Sweet Sage from the Food Network series Chopped and cocktail reception by Bar Stars NYC. The amazing décor was done by Party With Perfection. Sounds were provided by celebrity DJ Lafeytte Bless. The room was full of dynamic influencers, and other women in NYC who are breaking glass ceilings. 

Honorees included: Samantha Wallace from Love & Hip Hop NY, Ashly Willams esq., attorney who founded unorthodox legal, Ayana Harry news reporter from News Pix 11, Sue Fearless of Fearless Radio, criminal justice reform activist Hailey Naosco, founder of Hair Crediable Laveda Wright and more!
