The City of South Fulton delivered a spectacular holiday celebration with its annual Christmas Extravaganza, held on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 1 to 5 PM. Families from across the city gathered for an unforgettable day of joy, entertainment, and community connection. The event was designed to bring holiday cheer to residents of all ages, offering music, games, face painting, Christmas gifts, coat giveaways, and a festive Santa meet-and-greet.
A highlight of the day was the long line of excited families waiting to walk the red carpet and take photos with Santa in front of a sparkling holiday backdrop. Children enjoyed treats and activities, while parents captured memories and connected with neighbors.
The Christmas Extravaganza featured an impressive lineup of leaders and special guests. Councilwoman Helen Z. Willis of District 3, Mayor-Elect Carmalitha Gumbs, Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington, Sheriff Patrick Labat, and nationally renowned Attorney Ben Crump were all in attendance. The event also welcomed Grammy-winning producer Jermaine Dupri and country-trap artist Blanco Brown, adding even more excitement to the celebration.
Attendees shared how meaningful it was to meet Attorney Ben Crump, whose legacy includes representing families in the cases of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and others. His presence offered a powerful reminder of advocacy, justice, and the importance of community support.
