Since the Charleston church shooting in 2015:
121Â total symbols have been removed from public spaces
93 monuments have been removed or relocated from public spaces (84 monuments removed;Â 9 monuments relocated)
Nearly 1,800 Confederate symbols remain on public land; 733 of those symbols are monuments.
The SPLC released an updated version of its Whose Heritage? report, identifying nearly 1,800 Confederate monuments, parks, schools, state holidays and other symbols of the Confederacy in public spaces across the South and the nation.
