The SwagHer Daily Brief returns with four stories Black millennial women need on their radar today.

First, PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS — Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome — a long-overdue change backed by over 50 medical organizations that could lead to earlier diagnoses and better care, especially for Black and Hispanic women who have historically been underdiagnosed.

Next, Michelle Obama is taking her podcast IMO: The Look to the Essence Festival of Culture stage on July 3rd as part of Essence’s brand new Creator and Podcast Festival — a major expansion that puts Black women’s voices at the center of the culture.

Then, Pastor Jamal Bryant announces New Birth Village, a plan to convert 35 debt-free acres of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church land in Stonecrest, Georgia into 390 affordable homes for middle-class Black families — at a time when Black homeownership has hit a four-year low.

And finally, The Container Store has launched a nationwide reset across all 98 locations as it prepares to integrate Bed Bath & Beyond products under the new “Everything Home” strategy — which means markdowns are happening right now.
