Everyone’s Purpose: Defying Labels & Shaping History

Dr. LaTracey, together with her daughter Purpose, defies labels in the empowering “I Am Not My Diagnosis” movement. From Black History Month to Women’s History Month, they shape history with Purpose, an 11-year-old Author and Entrepreneur.

The “I Am Not My Diagnosis” movement isn’t just a book anthology; it’s a beacon of awareness without boundaries.

Dr. LaTracey shares, “We’re not alone in the face of rising mental illness during the pandemic; everyone has a story.” Her daughter, Purpose, diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and ODD, rises above labels. Embracing the Rocket City since April 2022, they’ve thrived in Huntsville, Alabama, amidst health challenges.

Through perseverance, Purpose earned the 2023 Grind Awards’ Young Entrepreneur of the Year, where she connected with Miss Alabama, Brianna Burrell. Now, as an Alabama State Finalist, Purpose will compete in the National American Miss Pageant over Memorial Day Weekend in Montgomery.
