Faith, Family & Purpose: Fabiana Africain on God-Given Vision, Legacy, and Leading with Love

Fabiana Africain is the kind of woman whose presence makes you sit up straighter and smile a little wider. A proud Haitian-American, devoted wife, loving mother, and faith-filled author, Fabiana’s story is deeply rooted in purpose and powered by her relationship with God. Raised in Boston by Haitian parents and now calling the Sunshine State home, she’s built a life and legacy that reflect her values: faith, family, and service.

Your name — Fabiana Africain — is powerful. How have you grown into the name you carry, and what legacy are you building under it?

Fabiana: Yes, my name Fabiana Africain is powerful because that is my husband’s beautiful and unique last name, and I absolutely love it! Believe it or not, I had some relatives in the past who made it known that they didn’t like my last name. I always say this: people’s opinions should not matter because their opinion does not pay your bills, lol. I have grown into the name that I carry, and I make sure that whatever I put my hands on, it will be an indelible mark for my legacy. The legacy I am building is to set a profound example for the incoming generation: when you put God, our Creator, first, before creating any legacy, expect it to be successful and expect to impact others in a powerful way worldwide.

What inspired the creation of your personal brand, and how does it reflect the core of who you are as a woman, wife, mother, and believer?

Fabiana: What inspired the creation of my personal brand, my sixteen books, and my e-commerce store, Gorgeous Custom Designs by Fabiana, was created back in 2020. I was shopping around for a Haitian flag mask, and when I was unable to find it, the idea to design it was born. To date, my store has nothing but custom-made items such as rugs, journals, candles, clothes, etc. that I create. As for my books, that was not on my vision board, but since my Pastor is a certified Maxwell business Coach, after attending one of his monthly business seminars in 2023, the idea to become an Author was born. My personal brand reflects the core of who I am as a mother, wife, and believer. As a faith-based clothing store owner, my books all glorify God, and I provide personal examples in my writing as a mom and wife that will encourage and inspire others.

What core values do you hope people feel or see when they interact with your brand or read your story?

Fabiana: The core values I hope people feel or see when they interact with my brand or read my story are that I want people to feel like they’ve gained real understanding, not just information. That means breaking things down without talking down.

How would you describe your swag and style as an author?

Fabiana: My swag and style as an author are simple; I am personable and professional.

As an author, what stories are you most passionate about telling, and how can our readers come in contact with your books?

Fabiana: The story that I am passionate about telling is when the devil spiritually challenged me regarding my book Prayers Against Different Types of Spiritual Problems. This book delivers to those who are facing spiritual problems and has a five-star rating. I remember when it was first published, I experienced a spiritual attack, and because I could recognize it, I prayed and fasted, and I won the Victory. Do you consider your writing a form of ministry? If so, what are you hoping to minister to readers?

Fabiana: My writing is ordained by God, and becoming an author was not on my goal list. I am content that I am a vessel that can be used to help God’s children. I hope to minister to my readers that God helps his children through his children. When a reader reads any of my books, they will be blessed because my books are written from my heart and with love.

What prayers are you holding in your heart for Black women right now who are quietly building and evolving?

Fabiana: Prayers that I am holding in my heart for black women right now, who are quietly building and evolving, are to build in silence. Don’t discuss your goals on social media, especially when it is in process. When you are climbing the success ladder, not everyone will be happy for you. Keep your goals between you and God, then when it’s completed, you can talk about it or post it. When you build in silence, the enemy gets confused and is unable to disrupt your plans.

What else would you like our readers to know about you?

Fabiana: I would like my readers to know that I am also a Live host on TikTok every Thursday at 6 pm-7 pm EST, where I provide tips on how to become a successful entrepreneur, I provide tips on how to become an author, how to establish a strong relationship with God and how to get delayed prayers answered.

How can we connect further with you online?

Fabiana: My readers can connect further with me online at my social media accounts and https://Linktr.ee/Mrsafricain.
