In today’s SwagHer Daily Brief, Editor-in-Chief Francheska “Fancy” Felder covers three stories making waves in the culture. Bianca Jones has made history in New Orleans, becoming the first Black Black woman to serve as fire captain in the New Orleans Fire Department — a milestone that took effect May 17, 2026. Sherri Shepherd reflects on the emotional finale of The Sherri Show, expressing gratitude to her audience and signaling new beginnings ahead. And Atlanta Streets Alive returns this Sunday, May 31st, with the beloved 3.4-mile Southwest Route from West End to Grant Park along Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard — free and open to all from 2 to 6 p.m.
The SwagHer Daily Brief is produced by Arnya T.M. Davis (@ladi.ceo) and delivered for Black millennial women who stay informed, stay visible, and stay SwagHer.
