Necia: My Swagher is being able to show my talent and share my story with others after having so much doubt and fear and being stuck on so many pathways trying to figure out who I am and who I want to be. what makes me who I am today is all the sacrifices and struggles and the rough childhood I had growing up as a sick child and not having nobody by my side thinking that they loved and cared about me and the whole time, I was just their door mat and their target.

Christina: How has your personal experiences and challenges shaped your journey as an author, entrepreneur, poet, and speaker?

Necia: My personal experiences shaped my journey as an author, entrepreneur, etc is when I couldn’t express myself because I wasn’t taught, I just picked up a journal and wrote how I felt every day it was my escape I never wanted to get involved with writing or poetry, but I got inspired by Ms.Maya Angelou and other poets and figured I’ll give it a try.

Christina: Tell us a little bit about your debut poetry book, “The Ride of My Life”. Where can readers go to purchase?

Necia: “The Ride of My Life” is my first poetry book, which debuted on March 13, 2024. It is about all the pain, suffering, and hurt that I suffered from the hands of people I grew up with, family, and strangers, and how I’m on the path of healing these open wounds so I can move forward and live my life. People can purchase my book on Amazon and Black Gold Publishing.

Christina: What inspired you to start two distinctly different businesses, From The Heart Foundation and This N That Enterprise?  What are your mission and goals for each business?

Necia:  From The Heart Foundation, when I was about 11 or 12 years of age, I would always ask why it’s people sleeping on the ground holding a cup in their hand, and I was told cause they are struggling to live on their own so I wanted to help the best way I can.

This N That Enterprise is my second business, which I started when I lost my job due to medical and family issues that I had to take care of. My business goal is to become and stay profitable and accomplish every aspect.

Christina: Despite facing adversities, how have you managed to maintain a positive outlook and carry yourself with continued resilience and grace?

Necia: Pray about it and leave it all in God hands.

Christina: Given all that you must do in a day, from being an author to a multiple business owner, how do you practice self-care?
