Sir: No. I wanted to be a professional football player. But I have always enjoyed entertaining people. It’s just something about the feeling of being able to impact another’s emotions through the arts. It’s like having the power to affect change.

Christina: You played Pookie in Survivor’s Remorse. How was it playing that character? Did you find him easier or harder to get into than any other character you’ve played?

Sir:  It is one of the most rewarding roles that I have played so far. It allowed me to play a character that had an impact on the overall storyline. It also was my first recurring role that legitimized my place as a professional actor.

Christina: Along with being an actor, you also produce. Who do you look up to as an actor and producer?

Sir: I have so many actors and producers that I look up to, but Mike O’Malley, who produced Survivor’s Remorse, was the first major producer that had faith and believed in my ability to deliver as an actor.

Sir: Watching RonReaco Lee work on the set of Survivor’s Remorse was very educational. He is phenomenal. Very underrated!

Christina: What’s the hardest thing about being an actor?

Sir: The hardest thing about being an actor is the uncertainty of work. You know the work is coming, but you don’t know when or where.

Christina: Do you have any upcoming events or projects that you would like to share?

Sir: Yes, I will be making a guest appearance on the new Stars series P-Valley airing on Sunday nights.

Christina: Is there anything additional you would like to share with our readers?

Sir: Whatever your dreams are, believe that you can achieve them. Embrace the process and let it ride out. Control the things that you can control and let God handle the rest. And at the end of the day, masks up and show love to everyone!
