Hop in as we chat with Jewel Tankard and her husband, Ben Tankard about the upcoming Toys for Tots in Detroit on December 15th! Make sure you come out and support our city!
After sharing a small part of my testimony, I realized that everything happens for a reason! I didn’t have any help as a young single mother, and I am thankful for the programs in place today that provide a judgment free zone to support families in need.
Great Faith Ministries and Jewel Tankard From Bravo’s hit reality Series “Thicker Than Water” are teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, to deliver toys to over 100 families in need on December 15, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 10735 Grand River, Detroit, MI 48204, following Sabbath service.Â
Great Faith Ministries will provide complimentary refreshments in addition to opportunities for families to learn more about community resources including health insurance, food programs, housing resources and more.Â
“The holidays can be a trying time for families in need. This partnership will help bring smiles to the faces of so many children who need our help,” says Jewel Tankard, businesswoman, author and evangelist. The Toys for Tots program plays an active role in creating a more inclusive world and inspiring others to make a difference in their communities. With the holiday season rapidly approaching, families who struggle to make ends meet seek additional support to provide their children with a little joy during this special time of year. Toys for Tots have donated over 500 toys for 239 children. With the help and support of more than 50 volunteers, each child will be able to take home two toys and a teddy bear.
