While some are calling 11-year old Elijah Preccieley of Baton Rouge, LA a “child prodigyâ€, the soon to be physics and mechanical engineering major, says he prefers the word “blessedâ€.
Next spring, Preccieley will be attending Southern University Honors College on a full ride scholarship. Last week the home-schooler received the prestigious J.S. Clark Presidential Scholar Award in a special signing ceremony. The school also presented him with a Southern University baseball cap, letterman jacket, and pin.
Preccieley is said to have “thanked God for the gifts that have allowed him to pursue his talents debt free.†If that’s not an indication of his wisdom, we don’t know what is.
