Live on the Purple Carpet: The 3rd Annual Griot Gala Oscars After Party

On Sunday, February 9, 2020, the 3rd Annual Griot Gala Oscars After Party was hosted by actorvist Michael K. Williams and it was a night for the books! This event was full of diversity and inclusion for certain, as that was their goal for the night. 

The night was set to honor two producer extraordinaires: Peter Luo and David Steward II. The short film “Hair Love”’ written and directed by Matthew Cherry and produced by one of the honorees of the night, David Steward II walked away with an OSCAR win in perfect timing for Black History Month! This gave us even more reason to celebrate!
