Motivation from a True GD

I am a “goal-digger”! What about you?  It is important to always have a goal in mind for what you want to accomplish. Whether it is a new career, a new car, getting married or divorced (planning is definitely needed in this area), or just changing HOW you do things – having a goal set to accomplish that will make the path easier and guarantee that you keep your eye on the prize. In order to “keep your eye on the prize”, you must keep yourself motivated! Keeping motivated is very important in accomplishing the smallest of goals. Motivation is the key to a successful outcome. To succeed at anything, you MUST do your personal best at all times. Whatever it takes to keep you motivated -  be it positive self-talk, meditation, or shopping (my personal favorite) make sure you practice keeping yourself uplifted and motivated. I know that’s easier said than done; I also know that sometimes, amidst the chaos and controversy, it’s hard to stay motivated – almost impossible. You must turn in and find your happy place- visit there often, especially when it seems you are hitting dead ends at every turn. BUT, when you really care about what you are doing, you have your goals set, you are a TRUE GD (goal-digger) with the passion, purpose, and pursuit needed to succeed – you find ways to stay motivated and keep your eye on the prize. Can I share some with you?

  1. Focus – the key to success is staying focused – keeping your eye on the prize. Write your goals down; make an Action Plan to achieve it; monitor your progress; talk about it all the time – this helps to keep your focus clear and your eye on the prize!

  2. Be Real – you are your own worst enemy. Don’t set unrealistic goals that will overwhelm you. Put your time and energy into the goals that have the greatest impact. Trying to do too much at once will drain your energy and distract you from the prize.

  3. Inspire – Seeing someone reach their goals is inspirational – it lets you know that you can do it too! Build yourself an inspirational and motivational library; surround yourself with inspiring and motivating people. Sharing your goals with like-minded people who will keep you inspired and motivated to achieve your goals. Build your circle with a foundation that will help ensure your success.

  4. Publicize – Sharing is Caring!  Share your goals – we are more likely to achieve our goals when we put our desires out into the universe. Speak it into existence!

  5. Watch that Tide – Keeping yourself motivated in like a tide – it ebbs and flows – hardly constant. Think of your goals as a “journey” with many twists and turns, but as long as you can “ride out” the ebbs and “go” with the flow, you will achieve your goals!

Above all, you must “ditch” the negative thoughts and toxic folks – Shake them HATERS!  Keep your eye on the prize, take daily doses of positive self-talk and tell yourself “I can do THIS”!

Getting Centered: Life is all about change; Growth is optional…. Choose Wisely!

I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you in this publication. If you would like to ask me a question about me, what I do, or WHY I do it, just send me a note. I would love to hear from you!

Have a fabulous month and remember…. Keep It Movin!
