On Saturday, March 14, the Bowie Performing Arts Center hosted an inspiring and unforgettable evening for the Ms. Corporate America of Maryland event. This prestigious experience brought together hundreds of America’s brightest business professionals, community leaders, and government officials to celebrate excellence, leadership, and service.
The event served as a powerful platform to recognize the hard work, dedication, and community impact of women in Corporate America. More than just a competition, the MCA Organization is a business-friendly program that honors corporate professionals, business leaders, and CEOs, while giving professional women a national stage to promote themselves, highlight their companies, and serve their communities.
MCA also remains committed to giving back through its charitable initiatives, raising funds for MCA’s Charity of Choice to increase awareness of issues impacting today’s corporate women. Throughout the journey, contestants are encouraged to grow personally and professionally by building self-confidence, strengthening leadership skills, pursuing goals, and forming lasting connections with other accomplished women.
This year, 12 phenomenal women competed for the crown of Ms. Corporate America of Maryland, each representing professionalism, purpose, and community service. The evening also highlighted the spirit of excellence through the MCA Award, presented to a woman whose accomplishments and results were considered extraordinary among her peers.

She is also the founder of Jolease Enterprises and host of the Leveling Up the Podcast, platforms dedicated to helping women overcome self-limiting beliefs, pursue their passions, and elevate both personally and professionally.
A Night of Excellence
After an evening filled with elegance, empowerment, and celebration, Ms. Shavonne Bowman was crowned the new Ms. Corporate America of Maryland. Her win reflects not only professional excellence but also a commitment to leadership and service that aligns with the organization’s mission.
The event served as a reminder that women in corporate spaces continue to break barriers, uplift communities, and create pathways for the next generation of leaders.
