My Two Favorite Simple Spiritual Baths

I know we shouldn’t live for a certain day of the week, but Sundays are my favorite day because on Sunday’s I like to take the time to take my spiritual baths.  My two simple favorites are lemons and baking soda. Sometimes I mix them together and sometimes I use them separately, but both baths are good for removing negativity and starting anew.

Baking Soda Bath: You can add half a cup of baking soda to a tub half-filled with water or add a full cup of baking soda to a full tub. The baking soda baths help to soothe and comfort aching muscles and your skin while also detoxing it. Baking soda also helps to soothe the discomfort of insect bites and relieves odor.

After soaking for a while, you can let your water out and take a real bath, because the baking soda does leave a chalky effect. I also suggest moisturizing really well if you are a melaninated person. Since it’s currently winter, I suggest some coconut oil which is also good for inflammation.

Lemon Bath: You can add four cups of lemons to your bath if you are like me and like for the tub to be full of lemons so you can be extra sure you are soaking up all the negative energy. Lemons help to refresh, detox the skin, and shrink the pores. For those of us with oily skin, this isn’t just relaxing but a much-needed necessity as it can help to prevent acne by controlling the oiliness of your skin.

Again, after soaking for a while, you can let your water out and take a real bath, because the acidness of the lemons may leave your skin dry after removing toxins.

While I enjoy both baths, I enjoy the lemon one the best because I always feel like the lemon one really does the trick as far as keeping negativity away from me and making me feel protected from it.
