NFL Player Speaks On His Virginity Through Poetry

Every Sunday from September to early February, millions of eyes are focused on NFL football. Many of those eyes belong to young football players who share the same ambition of making it to the league. They fantasize about scoring the winning touchdown or making the game-saving defensive play. They visualize the roaring crowd in the stadium cheering for them. Playing the game they love, and becoming rich and famous is the goal. Another part of the dream is the women. The combination of money and fame will attract a variety of females. Having money, fame, and female admirers is a fantasy for most, but a reality when you play football in the NFL.

As an NFL player, you will face temptation from the opposite sex. On a daily basis, NFL players receive offers from females to participate in a different type of physical activity. However, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has been able to block out the temptations for the past five years. Revealed in a poetry book he authored, the 27-year-old baller admits he’s still a virgin. Lockett remains unbothered by the temptations due to the fact he plans on saving himself for his future wife. “I’m waiting until I get married. It’s something I wanted to be able to do and it’s something I’m staying true to and committed to,” Lockett stated.

Tyler Lockett had a good season last year, and he’s gotten off to a pretty good start for the 2019 season. He’s proven to be a person of commitment both on and off the field. Despite being a 27-year-old professional athlete who is a virgin, Lockett does have a significant other. “I have a girlfriend and she understands what I’m about and she loves God as well. She’s cool with being able to wait until marriage. So for me, as long as somebody understands what they’re getting into and respects it, that’s all that matter,” Lockett said.

Lockett began writing poetry in his senior year of high school at Booker T Washington in Tulsa, Oklahoma back in 2010. He’s been writing poetry ever since. In addition to writing, he’s also done public readings. Lockett never thought about writing a book until some of his marketing people were approached about the idea. His collection of poems focuses on relationships and living a purposeful life. A poem called “Turn off the lights” is a piece that was inspired by a friend of Lockett who was having suicidal thoughts.

Lockett’s book titled “Reflections” has already been placed in the hands of book readers. He decided to gift the book to his Seahawk teammates by placing a copy in their lockers. For all other consumers “Reflections” official release date is October 15. The 112-page book will be available at Barnes & Noble and the Ebook version will be available on Amazon Kindle.
