NFL standout and Top 25 tight end, VERNON DAVIS (Washington Redskins), who just announced his retirement from professional football after 14 years as one of the sport’s most popular players, has been cast in a starring role in Supremacy Films thriller, Red Winter, directed by Steven C. Pitts (special effects, First Man) and written by John Prescott (Landfall). It is set to begin shooting in Denver and will be screened for distributors early summer.
The film centers around ‘Carla Andrews,’ portrayed by Ashley A. Williams (“Black Boots”), a young, beautiful, woman in her early thirties who was taught at a young age to embrace chaos with heightened survival skills. Her superior ability to adapt to life-threatening circumstances with exceptional hunting, fishing and endurance aptitude are put to the test when she, Vernon Davis‘ character, ‘Daniel,’ her father and a friend are stranded in a deadly Colorado winter blizzard after a snowmobile trip turns disastrous. The trip originally planned to strengthen Vernon and Ashley’s characters’ relationship are soon put to the ultimate test during sub-zero temperatures, when ‘Daniel’ whose predominant goal is to protect, love and earn the respect of ‘Carla’s’ father after witnessing the murder of their tour guide, is pushed to the ultimate in the do-or-die scenario.
Red Winter’s producers are Errol Sadler, Colin Floom and Marcus Smoot/Smoot Films with Rockmund Dunbar, Doris Morgado, Karon J. Riley, Roberto Sanchez and Luis Dasilva co-starring in the ambitious thriller.
Over the past couple of years, Vernon Davis appeared in Wes Miller’s 2019 Western thriller, Hell on the Border (Lionsgate), opposite Ron Perlman and the Baywatch movie (Paramount) starring Dwayne “The Rock†Johnson in 2017. There are three additional film
