OBPTN: All Things Come to Light

Say Her Name #NIAWILSON

The city of Oakland is mourning the death of 18-year old Nia Wilson who along with her sister Letifah Wilson, 27, was stabbed at an Oakland BART station on Sunday night. Nia succumbed to her neck injury there at the station as she and her sister waited for help. Letifah is still listed as “critical care” in the hospital.

On Monday, John Lee Cowell, 27, was arrested for what police are calling “a random attack”, stating they were unable to find any connection between Cowell and racists hate groups. Wilson’s godfather, Daryle Allums, also asked the public to hold off labeling Wilson’s murder as a hate crime.

While news reports stated Cowell had a violent criminal history, Cowell’s family released a statement yesterday saying that he is a bi-polar and schizophrenic and that he was recently released from a state mental hospital. They stated that the state “failed to provide him with proper treatment.” They also stated that that did not excuse Cowell’s actions and sent their condolences to Wilson’s family.

Michael Cohen Knows What Time It Is…

Michael Cohen, Trump’s former private lawyer who is currently under federal investigation, released the recording of a meeting he and Trump had discussing paying off former Playboy model Karen McDougal.

CNN were the first to broadcast the recording, but it is muddled. However, at one point Cohen tells Trump they will need to set up a company in order to pay McDougal, and Trump tells him to pay her in cash, but Cohen rebuttals. The tape goes on, but that is confirmation enough for us to say he was aware of the payout, which took places a few months before the November 2016 presidential election.

Cohen is currently being investigated for numerous charges including, campaign finance violations, bank fraud and wire fraud, while Trump is being investigated for too much to name….

Until You Do Right By Your Ex-Wife & Kids….

R. Kelly released a 19-minute long, 8-verse song on Monday, entitled “I Admit”, to which he does not admit much of anything we don’t already know, and certainly no criminal offenses that we were awaiting. Personally, I stopped listening when he states, I admit it, I admit it I did (yeah) I done f***** with a couple of fans (fans), because I really thought he was about to say “Kids” and come clean here, but he didn’t.

However, his ex-wife Drea Kelly, remixed his song, discussing Kelly’s abusive behavior and absence from his children’s lives. She shared the lyrics on her Instagram as the caption to her post of a scene from “The Color Purple” with Whoopi Goldberg. Read lyrics below.

THE REMIX:

Admit it

Admit it

Admit it

Your mama IS watching over you

And rolling over in her grave

because of the ABUSIVE things you do

You say she’s looking down from heaven  So there’s nothing she didn’t see

Which means she saw you BEAT me from heaven and neglect her grand babies……Admit it

Admit it

Admit  it

Your children you don’t see

Because you treat them like your fans

And not your flesh and blood, please

Being a dead beat dad is a conscious choice

You could face time w them EVERYDAY

they’d SEE your face and HEAR your voice,so…..

Admit it

Admit it

Admit it

Then go get some professional help

Own the pain that you’ve inflicted on others’

All by yourself

Even though you can’t read or write

it didn’t stop you from making hit songs

But you don’t have to read or write

to know Domestic Violence is wrong, so….

Admit it

Admit it

Admit it

Your past is not is an excuse

Just because you were abused

doesn’t mean you get to ABUSE…..

Admit it

Admit it

Admit it

Cause the TRUTH will set you free

Nothing good is gonna come to you

UNTIL YOU DO RIGHT BY ME.

Things Aren’t Looking Any Better for Charlamagne Tha God

Last week we learned of a young lady, Jessica Reid, coming forward and stating Charlamagne Tha God raped her in 2001, when she was 15. Reports say that at the time, Reid and her mother did not cooperate with the investigation, and Charlamagne pled guilty to a lesser charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was sentenced to three years of probation.

This week an unedited interview from The Brilliant Idiots with CTG in 2015 surfaced, in which CTG discusses having sex with his wife for the first time and her being incoherent at the time. The “Breakfast Club” co-host jokes about how many men can look back upon their past experiences and view it as rape culture. After hearing the similarities between his story with his wife and Reid’s story, many now believe Reid.

CTG took the time to call his wife and ask her about the allegations on the show yesterday. To which she replied, “We both know what happened and I was not passed out. I was very coherent, like enough for me to lift off my hips so you could take my panties off.”

Charlamagne has denied all allegations. Some social media users and online readers say he should use his “Black Privilege”.
