Pariz Looks To Quench Your Thirst With H2O Video

The evolution of a successful artist is a beautiful site to see. It’s a privilege for fans to witness musical careers from the origin to the peak of success. In the beginning, the new talent lays the foundation and becomes known locally. As they continue to put in the work, the fanbase transitions from local to regional, and eventually the national level. This is a cycle that has been repeated time and time again.

Many upcoming stars who experienced a taste of success in 2019 were looking forward to taking that momentum into the year 2020. They followed the blueprint and noticed consistent progress. They felt a sense of optimism as the calendar year changed. Instead of keeping the ball rolling, most upcoming artists hit a wall in the form of a pandemic. For the majority of this calendar year, COVID-19 has been a disruptive force. It has impacted society, business, education, sports, and entertainment. The music industry has been hit hard by the coronavirus. The industry’s biggest casualty has been the elimination of live performance revenue. The distribution also suffered due to the fact many artists delayed their releases because of the inability to tour. The climate that the pandemic created has made it difficult for both established and upcoming artists.

Vince: As an artist on the rise, what has been the most challenging part as it relates to dealing with the pandemic?

Pariz: Not getting out there. I’m more of an in your face type of person. I like being around people and having them feed off my energy. I like meeting new people to network with and meeting new people who listen to my music and come to my shows. That’s the main part for me is not being out there with the people.

Vince: Prior to the pandemic, what did your daily routine consist of?

Pariz: I was traveling a lot. I was networking, hitting the clubs, getting the deejays to play my music, hitting the streets, and putting out more content with music. I was really pushing my music, and then this sh*t hit me like boom!

Vince: Going back in time, when did you realize you wanted to be an artist?

Pariz: I always had a passion and a love for music. Maybe two or three years ago, I was like, I’m going to be an artist. I put out my first freestyle to YFN Lucci’s ‘Everyday We Lit.’ Then I put out ‘2 Lit.’ People started listening, and they respected me as an artist. It was weird, and I was like, let me do this and see how they react. People were vibing to me, and I kept going. I kept going ever since.

Vince: How did you choose your artist name?

Pariz: My name has always been Pariz. They called me Pariz in high school. I was always into high fashion and labels, so they started calling me Pariz.

Vince: Out of all the music you have put out to this point, what is your favorite song?

Pariz: My favorite song is the single ‘Where Were You.’ It’s one of my favorite songs. It’s slower but more instruments. It’s a song about my childhood.

Vince: Talk to me in regards to the new single.

Pariz: H2O is a fire f#ckin track. The video shoot was amazing. People thought I went to the Bahamas or Jamaica. I utilized my resources and shot this video in Houston, Texas. Houston has been one of the main cities that has supported my music real heavy. I went down there in mid-September. We got the venue, and it looks like I’m in the Bahamas. I got some girls from Houston to be a part of the video, and it was amazing. Man, it was fun.

Vince: If you had the opportunity to collaborate with an artist of today, who would it be?

Pariz:  It’s a list. City Girls, for a fact. My music is a City Girls type of vibe. I would love to throw Saweetie on a track. I would love to throw Big Freedia on a track. Jeremih is always making hits. The list goes on and on.
