Pennsylvania Mother and Daughter Plead Guilty to Killing Five Family Members

A Pennsylvania mother and daughter accused of murdering five of their family members, including nine-year-old twin girls, will serve life behind bars. They have pleaded guilty to the slayings and said they were “inspired by demons” Shana Decree, 47, and her daughter Dominque Decree, 21, pleaded guilty on Monday, but mentally ill to five counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Both women are sentenced to five consecutive life sentences. On Monday morning, Shana Degree stated in court:

“To my family, I am sorry for taking away such beautiful souls in a horrible manner.”

A caseworker from Bucks County Children and Youth Services discovered the five bodies at Robert Morris Apartments in Morrisville while performing a wellness check on February 25, 2019.
