A Night of Purpose, Power & Pink: Inside the 7th Annual Pink Awards

The 7th Annual Pink Awards in Atlanta, held at the iconic Ray Charles Performing Arts Center at Morehouse College, was a heartfelt and inspiring celebration of strength, purpose, and community. Founded by April Love, the Pink Awards continues to be more than just an event, it’s a powerful movement that uplifts, honors, and brings awareness to those impacted by breast cancer.
The ceremony was hosted by Brely Evans and Jonathan Slocumb, whose dynamic presence set the tone for an unforgettable evening. With appearances from presenters Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, the night celebrated influential honorees including Ceelo Green, Pinky Cole, and Derrick Hayes, alongside a soul-stirring performance by William Murphy and a lineup of incredible honorees and live performances.
At its core, the evening placed a powerful spotlight on cancer survivors, true warriors whose stories of resilience and perseverance moved the room and reminded everyone of the deeper purpose behind the celebration. A special tribute honoring the “Pink Ladies” became one of the most emotional moments of the night, recognizing women who have battled breast cancer and continue to inspire through their courage and grace. Their presence served as a living testament to hope, healing, and the unbreakable power of community.
As the evening came to a close, the message was clear: The Pink Awards is not just about recognition, it’s about impact. Honoring journeys, amplifying voices, and standing in solidarity with those who continue to fight. A night filled with purpose, power, and pink, leaving a lasting reminder that together, we are stronger and through awareness and unity, we continue to push the movement forward.
