Power is a crime drama that has been ruling the airwaves for five strong seasons. Prior to the start of the sixth season, executive producers, writers, and the actors of the show labeled season six as must-see tv. After viewing the first half of the new season, fans of the show agree the first set of episodes lived up to the hype.
The show is centered around James “Ghost” St.Patrick, a sophisticated, but ruthless drug kingpin who has the ultimate desire to abandon the street life and transition into a legitimate entrepreneur. His marriage to Tasha is on the rocks, his son Tariq hates him, and he is at war with his former partner in crime Tommy Egan.
During the final episode of season five, Ghost shared a kiss with his high school sweetheart Angela Valdes. Caught up in the moment, he verbalizes his love for her. Angela looked up and saw Tommy pointing a gun at Ghost from above. She pushed Ghost out of the way and the bullet struck her in the chest.
The start of season six revealed Angela died from the bullet she took for Ghost. The sixth season got off to a shocking start as a major character was killed off the show. The death of Angela Valdes was just an appetizer as other characters’ fans became familiar with were killed off. Due to the killing of popular characters the theme of season six became known as who’s next? Nobody is safe and everyone from top to bottom is at risk.Â
At the end of the midseason finale, viewers witnessed Ghost taking a bullet wound to the chest. The question everybody is asking is who shot Ghost? They also wonder is he still alive? Fans have been waiting and anticipating to get the answer in January.
Now thanks to an Instagram post from Executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, fans have gone from wondering who shot Ghost, to who will survive the end of season six? He provided one answer to the question when he posted a picture on Instagram from the set of Power Book II. The picture featured Ghost’s disgruntled son Tariq St. Patrick. Shortly after posting the picture 50 Cent deleted the photographic clue. Now that we know Tariq is a survivor, will any other major cast members join him?
