Punany Care: Smoothie Recipes for Vaginal Health

Punany care, let’s talk about it! Ladies, taking care of your punany starts from the inside out. Your genital health is essential. Integrating copious amounts of fruits and vegetables into your daily life and avoiding sodas (or pop if you’re from the Midwest) will do wonders for your vagina. The appropriate nutrients can reduce odors and battle infections. Luckily, smoothies are more than just meal substitutes; they’re used to manage menstrual pain, anxiety, and many other health issues. 

Here are smoothie recipes that are both tasty and healthy for your vagina.

Help treat bacterial vaginosis with this smoothie

  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • 1/2 cup frozen cherries
  • 1/2 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Cup of ice
  • Blend until smooth (or desired consistency)

Keep yeast infections and urinary tract infections away with this smoothie blend

  • 1 cup milk 
  • 3 slices of seedless watermelon 
  • 3 tablespoons of greek yogurt 
  • 1 cup of ice 
  • Dark chocolate Hershey’s Kiss (1)
  • 6 mint leaves
  • Blend until smooth (or desired consistency)

 

This smoothie bowl is for vagina and gut health

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of cacao powder
  • 1 cup of coconut yogurt 
  • Fresh mint (a few leaves)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Contents of 1 capsule of a probiotic 
  • 1 cup of baby spinach
  • Blend until smooth (or desired consistency)

 

Put these ingredients on top 

  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of cacao nibs
  • 1 tablespoon spirulina powder
  • 1 tablespoon of unsweetened shredded raw coconut
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Fresh mint

Here are other foods that could help improve or maintain your vaginal health

  • Cranberries- help prevent UTI’s
  • Sweet potatoes- help prevent bacterial vaginosis
  • Kimchi- helps keep away harmful bacteria 
  • Garlic- can help fight yeast infections
  • Oysters- can help with vaginal dryness
  • Kombucha- can restore the balance in your body
