Fancy: You describe yourself as a purpose driven entrepreneur. What moment or experience first clarified for you that business would be one of the ways you walk in purpose?
China Smith: For me, purpose became clear when I realized that the skills I naturally used to help others, organizing, creating, encouraging, and providing, could be transformed into something sustainable. I’ve always been someone people leaned on, whether through food, guidance, or simply showing up for them. When I saw that I could build a business that not only supported my family but also uplifted others, I knew entrepreneurship was one of the vehicles through which I was meant to walk in purpose. Business became more than income; it became impact.
Fancy: Unique Meals & More is rooted in creativity, quality, and the idea of “sprinkling love in each bite.” How did your relationship with food and wellness shape the vision for this brand?
China Smith: Food has always been my way of showing love and care. I’ve seen firsthand how a thoughtfully prepared meal can bring comfort, connection, and even healing. My relationship with food is deeply tied to wellness, not just physical health, but emotional and community well-being. With Unique Meals & More, I wanted to create more than meals; I wanted to create experiences that make people feel seen, valued, and cared for. The brand reflects my belief that when you lead with intention and quality, people can truly feel the love behind what you do.

Fancy: As the author of The Blueprint: Passion to Purpose, you focus heavily on structure and sustainability. What gaps did you notice that made you feel this guide was necessary for entrepreneurs?
China Smith: I noticed that many entrepreneurs are incredibly talented and motivated, but they’re often building without a solid foundation. There’s a lot of emphasis on quick growth and visibility, but not enough education around structure, finances, and long-term sustainability. I saw people burning out, mixing personal and business finances, or feeling overwhelmed simply because they didn’t know the order of operations. The Blueprint: Passion to Purpose was created to close that gap,to help entrepreneurs slow down, get clear, and build businesses that can actually last.
Fancy: Through The Blueprint Business Lab, you emphasize strong foundations and financial awareness. What are the most common mistakes you see entrepreneurs make when they rush growth without structure?
China Smith: One of the biggest mistakes I see is prioritizing income over infrastructure. Entrepreneurs often rush to scale before understanding their numbers, their legal setup, or their systems. This leads to confusion, stress, and missed opportunities. Another common issue is blending personal and business finances, which creates long-term problems that could have been avoided early on. Through The Blueprint Business Lab, I teach that growth should be intentional, when structure comes first, confidence and sustainability naturally follow.
Fancy: Community outreach is central to your work, not an afterthought. Why was it important for you to build giving back into your business model from the beginning?
China Smith: Giving back has always been part of who I am, not just something I do when it’s convenient. I’ve seen the impact that support, food, and encouragement can have on individuals and communities, especially those who are underserved. From the beginning, I wanted my businesses to reflect my values. Community outreach isn’t separate from my work, it’s woven into it. I believe true success is measured not only by growth, but by how many people you’re able to help along the way.
Fancy: You believe success is measured not only by growth, but by impact. How do you personally define success in this season of your life and business?
China Smith: In this season, success means alignment. It means building businesses that are structured, sustainable, and rooted in purpose, while still having the ability to pour into my community and those I serve. Success looks like peace, consistency, and impact. It’s knowing that what I’m building today is creating opportunities not just for me, but for others as well.
Fancy: How do you describe your SwagHer? What makes China, China?
China Smith: My SwagHer is confidence grounded in authenticity. It’s resilience, faith, and the willingness to show up even when the journey isn’t easy. What makes me me is my heart for people, my commitment to growth, and my belief that purpose and professionalism can coexist. I lead with intention, move with integrity, and never forget where I came from, and that’s what fuels everything I do.
