Recap of Scriptures
The Bible reveals that rest isn’t just sleep or vacation—it’s a divine invitation. From Moses’ assurance to Jesus’ gentle call, from the shepherd’s care to God’s unshakeable promises, rest is deeply tied to peace, trust, and renewal. Whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, true rest comes from trusting in God and pausing to let Him carry the weight.
My Thoughts and Reflections:
Right now, Satan is coming against true peace and rest like never before. But we have to be mindful and intentional about getting real and true rest that comes from God. It is deeper than just laying in the bed. To me, rest is inner peace and strength while I am working that gives me the ability to do more in Him opposed to not being in Him. Rest to me also is intentionally being still inwardly with total silence in the mist of the chaotic world around us. To me, it is also putting a stop to Satan trying to bombard my mind and spirit with distractions, chaos, and confusion to lead me astray from what God wants me to do.
On Saturdays I will rest. I usually deliberately take this day off of work to clear and silence my mind, soul, and spirit and rejuvenate for the week ahead.
Prayer:
God remove the spirit restlessness in me and the rest of the people in this world and replace it with a spirit of rest. Remove the spirit or rush from this world and replace it with a spirit of calmness and peace in You. Help us to get the rest we need as people physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally, and in our hearts to heal in every area of our lives. Help us to rest in your peace and strength while we are on our jobs working. Help us to heal through rest in you. Help us to rest in you through trust in you for our provisions beyond what our jobs gives us. Give us Peace, Peace, and more Peace amidst this chaotic world and let that Peace remain until you Return. In Jesus name, Amen.
