Sending Up Prayers & Well Wishes For Wuzzam Supa

Some years ago I found myself glued to my IG page following a young lady name, Supa. I didn’t know any background on her. What I basically knew was my friends followed her, reposted her, and best of it all, she was from my home, New Orleans. She would tell stories in a “New Orleans” way. She had the best stories and when I felt homesick, I pulled up her page to feel connected.

This past weekend she held the 2nd Annual Crayon Festival, a 2 year anniversary of her makeup empire, the Crayon Case. It was such a huge event with awesome vendors, special guest and more. To all of our dismay, a day or two afterward, Supa posted a picture saying to pray for her. In my mind, I thought, ‘ok this is Supa, the bounce back queen, she will be back on her feet in no time.’ I prayed and even left her a little message to get better soon. In the days to follow, she shared videos or pictures of her in the hospital, surrounded by her beautiful support system. In my New Orleans voice in my head, I heard myself say, “No, not Supa, huh? She was supposed to be better by now”, but it appears that she is not. So I’m asking all of our audience to send up a prayer for our girl.

If you don’t know who she is, Supa was born Raynell Steward, and she is the IG comedian, who has allowed us into her life with stories from her past and present. She let us in on her relationships and family life, all with a smile and confidence. We watched her go from not ever wearing makeup to now owning a makeup empire. She’s shared stories about Tre’(her son), and we all rejoiced when she told us about the love of her life, Lou. Lea’ came earlier this year, and we all felt as if we were family, watching our beautiful new niece meet the world. We celebrated with her as she purchased her warehouse with cash and made a million dollars in an hour and a half on Black Friday.

She spreads her Black Girl Magic in our lives daily, so now it is time for us to support her and do the same. Send her your well wishes, love, and support. Pray for our hometown girl. We here at SwagHer Magazine send you our love and support Supa! We are praying for you.

In the Wind,
